"The Art of Now" - New Online Competition
Poets say we are happiest when we concern ourselves about neither the future nor the past, but absorb ourselves fully in the present. By doing so, we enter a *zero zone* of unlimited opportunity, where we can be totally immersed in the creative process; it is where we also create our best art. It is why we invite artists and musicians to share with us works they have conceived and created in their own unique zero zone: The Art of Now!
Prizes:
Three first prize winners will enjoy a weekend retreat at our Art and Music Retreat, Sept. 29 & 30, in beautiful Lake Arrowhead, California, provided by our sponsor Joseph Son Retreat House. (Please note: travel to and from Lake Arrowhead is not included).
First, second and third prize winners will receive an individually designed web page (click here for prize-winning page).
All artists accepted into The Art of Now! will have their art showcased on LarkGallery Online and linked to their website for a year.
Deadline:
Entries must be received by Friday, July 20, 2012. For further details please visit our submission page.

Our News
Congratulations to the winners of our Polish Pallet competition - Roya Adjory, Jody Bonassi and Robert Newport - chosen by the art retreat organizers in Poland! Our three artists will participate in a two weeks residency program organized by the local government. The official dates are July 25 - August 8, 2012.
There are only about 20 artists invited from Italy, France, Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland, so we are really proud and happy about our three LGO Participants. The residency also coincides with the Regional Cultural Festival from July 28 till August 5, 2012 that will give our artists plenty of opportunities to participate in Polish cultural events and interact with the public.
Our family of Represented Artists is growing steadily! Elize and J. Natasha Kostan just joined us recently. Go to our represented artist page to view their art. Other new artists:
abstract expressionists - Michele Benzamin-Miki, Anusati and Geetesh,
photographer - Erik Fischer, sculptor Janice Govaerts, landscape painter Robert Newport and collage artist - Launa D. Romoff. Their art was included in our show:

We posted on our blog an interview with our main Juror Peter Frank about the results of our previous competition "The Rediscovery of Wonder" and received very positive feedback. One of our artists wrote to us: "Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed reading the interview with Peter Frank. I learned a lot from reading it.
Last but not least the profiles and pictures of many of our Represented Artists have been posted on the national website CountryCooperative.com Artist Co-Op. You can see a sample here
